Visa Advice

The conditions for immigration to Australia have changed. These changes will have some impact on people’s planning for migration. We generally divide the issues surrounding migration into two categories.

  1.  Visas
You should be aware that you can apply for an immigration visa on your own, but there is a significant risk of failure if you do not have sufficient legal knowledge to apply for a visa by yourself. There are two groups of people who can apply for a visa for you. Immigration agents and lawyers. The former does not usually involve appeals, except in the Administrative Appeal Tribunal (AAT), and the latter can represent you from your visa application and appeal to the High Court of Australia. There are a number of visas that can allow you to remain in Australia permanently, for example through skilled migration; through business and investment, through labor agreements and family unions including spouse visas. Our lawyers have a great advantage because we know how to handle these applications in a way that effectively prevents them from being unsuccessful. We understand that immigration applications are costly in terms of money, time and effort. This can have a significant impact on your future planning. We encourage you to discuss your immigration plans with us from the outset, including your relocation plans from the student level if you are a student but not limited to a foreign student.
  2.  Appeals
We have helped clients win numerous appeals from the Administrative Appeal Tribunal (AAT), the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Appeals in the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia (in the ACT), and we have represented clients who have ultimately been granted visas and status for legal residence and residency in Australia. The appeal itself provides another opportunity for you to be successful.

In conclusion, we recommend that you apply for immigration through our team of lawyers as it is difficult for you to deal with the various situations that arise on your own and present a significant risk of failure of your immigration program.
